Baby casseroles - general principles and methods of preparation
Everyone has known the taste of casserole since childhood. It is introduced into the child’s diet starting at one year of age. It is very healthy, it contains fruits, cereals, vegetables, cottage cheese, and this is a source of proteins, microelements, pectins, vitamins and other useful substances. It can be sweet, with cottage cheese, fruit or semolina, or not sweet, with vegetables, fish, meat. The smallest ones cook it by steaming it – this way its consistency becomes softer and more tender. Usually children eat it with pleasure, because it is very tasty. To make the casserole more juicy, pour sour cream or jelly over it. A sweet casserole can be made from oatmeal, semolina, rice, cottage cheese, and bread. By the way, if you have buckwheat, semolina or oatmeal porridge left over from breakfast, you can easily prepare a new dish from it - a casserole.
What are the benefits of a vegetable?

Zucchini fiber gently relaxes the digestive tract, promotes the excretion of feces and is considered an excellent preventative against constipation. The pectin of the culture gently envelops the intestinal and stomach mucosa, easily removing toxins, cholesterol, salts and waste.
- Zucchini is rich in vitamins A, E, C, PP and H, as well as group B. Its pulp contains calcium and phosphorus, magnesium, potassium and sodium. In order for the vitamins to be fully preserved, it is enough to subject the vegetable to minimal heat treatment. Young zucchini will become soft and edible if you boil it for only 3-5 minutes.
This unpretentious and healthy vegetable is unique in that it does not cause allergies in the child, like many of its fellow gardeners. This allows it to be used for complementary feeding of children prone to diathesis, dermatitis and other types of allergic reactions.

This is done in order to get rid of excess liquid. Then they are crushed with a blender.

Grease the mold and pour out the dough. If the molds are silicone, there is no need to grease them. The casserole won't stick. Bake in the oven (180C) or steam for about 40 minutes. It turns out tastier in the oven, but for small children under 2 years old it is better to steam it.

How to choose the right cottage cheese
When choosing cottage cheese for a child, you need to pay attention to the following quality indicators:
- a good quality product has a white, creamy tint that does not give off a green appearance;
- it tastes non-bitter and non-sour;
- the smell is pleasant and without the feeling of acid;
- high-quality cottage cheese does not separate, has a delicate, slightly oily consistency, not runny, but not too dry.
High quality cottage cheese
You should not buy cottage cheese at the market from a random seller. The greatest danger of such a product is bacteria. Once in a child's body, they can cause severe poisoning. If you buy cottage cheese in a store, you need to pay attention to the packaging and information about the product.
Attention! You should not buy your child cottage cheese from which the fat has been removed - calcium is best absorbed in the presence of fat.
Purchased cottage cheese is tested for quality at home. By dripping iodine tincture onto a piece, check to see if starch has been added to the product. If added, iodine will change color to blue. If a piece of cottage cheese, lying on a saucer at room temperature, turns yellow and dry, then it is real.
