humana mixture reviews

The long-awaited daughter Dasha was born in the midst of military events, after 10 years of unsuccessful attempts by my husband and me to become parents. Pregnancy occurred after thirty years, with a clearly accepted program of infertility and childlessness. And then, lo and behold! — on one of my business trips I discovered a decrease in my performance, a complete aversion to alcohol and cigarettes and timid hopes for “two stripes.” I had to bear and give birth, roughly speaking, in the zone of military operations. In order to take the child out of this nightmare, I chose to take on 5-6 jobs; my husband and I were estranged at that time. As a result, the whole family had to leave - me, my husband, and my child. But that will come later. The entire pregnancy proceeded under the auspices of constant stress. Master's degree. Scandals at home. Business trips (read: escape) 2-3 times a month. Moving. Political infighting. It was a job that wasn’t too much to shake, but in the current situation it took more nerves than other people’s usual jobs. Three hospitalizations. “Contractions” from the 4th month. Several viral diseases in the first and second trimesters. FPN.

My daughter was born at 35 weeks. It is now customary to call such children not as before - “premature”, but “prematurely born”. Compared to other babies who came into the world at our time, my daughter’s condition was t-t-t-... Among the problems - only mild PED as a result of intrauterine hypoxia. As a result - weakening of reflexes (up to the subsequent disappearance of swallowing and sucking reflexes), clubbed legs, stork bites/fairy kisses (hematomas) on the body, hemangiomas, lingering jaundice, loss of 15 percent of weight in the first week, constant fights, severe reaction to ALL medications used in the perinatal center and during further treatment in the next 2-3 months. Although it’s a shame to say: none of the doctors stuffed my daughter with anything unnecessary, everything was done strictly according to the protocol and the treatment was canceled at the first sign of a reaction to the drug. The debut of blood pressure occurred in July, at the 4th month of life. Previous rashes do not count, because they were more likely a reaction to natural hormonal changes, changes in diet, medications, etc. And what was discovered in July was the beginning of Hell. At first it seemed to me that the red rash under the knees was nothing more than prickly heat (in our city at that time the heat was over 40 in the shade). And roundish spots along the nerves could be a manifestation of lichen. Fortunately, one day I noticed the hair of a stray cat in the inner upholstery of our perfectly white, clean “hypoallergenic” stroller. Oh, it would be better if it were lichen... The brief development of events is this: for 4 months. We are diagnosed with AD based on clinical signs (+ heredity in 3 generations). Due to the aggravation of the military situation for 5 months. In Dashenka’s life, we urgently leave for a safe city, because... I'm tired of looking at the corpses and the military stationed behind our fence. Along the way, the milk disappears, but otherwise, I provide my daughter with decent nutrition, treatment, and a hypoallergenic lifestyle. Against the background of a decrease in lactation, it is necessary to introduce the first complementary foods, not counting the previous supply of mixtures that were given from the maternity hospital. Now we have tried: zucchini puree without additives, apple and pear puree, hypoallergenic porridge. As before, we continued to feed with formulas prescribed by doctors, but just a little at a time. The daughter herself began to spit from the mixtures and does not eat anything. 30 grams and that’s it. And then once a day. The prescribed mixtures were made with regular milk (Nutrilon, Humana, hypoallergenic low-lactose); I think that even then we had an intolerance to the components of goat and cow’s milk, but for some reason the doctors stubbornly did not want to hear my concerns. Later, I will voluntarily take the risk of trying the soy mixture - there were no allergic reactions to it. So, along with breastfeeding, they were fed with these mixtures. And only grams of the first courses of complementary feeding were consumed. At that time, we rented a clean suite in a hotel outside the city, took many hours of walks, and breathed clean air near a fresh reservoir. A month later, living conditions worsened. They began to live in dubious homeless communities, cities and villages replaced one another. My husband couldn’t get a job; within our geographic reach, the only healthcare available to us was free; there were simply no paid clinics. As a result, after each visit, my child and I ended up in the infectious diseases department, where instead of dealing with gastrointestinal manifestations and allergies and blood pressure itself, we were invariably prescribed interferons, antibiotics and lactobacilli. I must say that for all this happiness, we have had multiple drug allergies since birth. In response to all my protests in provincial hospitals that these drugs would only make the child worse, they offered me to buy and drip Zodac/Zyrtec antihistamines. Now we are allergic to them too))) As well as to most components of other antiallergic drugs. I myself always strictly follow doctors’ recommendations, but here, apparently, I had to turn on my brain and insist on my own, guided by my parent’s instincts. When the child is 6 months old. we found a more or less prosperous temporary home. The downsides were that it had all sorts of dust collectors and a consistently high temperature (outside the window it was +25, and in the room the central heating radiators were extremely hot). The owners did not allow us to change the carpets and upholstered furniture; the child and I began to suffocate in the literal sense of the word. In addition to the skin manifestations (there were already 3-4 types of rash with different intensities in different locations), respiratory symptoms were also added. The only things that protected me from the worst cases of blood pressure were long walks (I spent days on end wandering the streets of the village with a stroller and my daughter), frequent ventilation, attempts to restore blood pressure, and the complete exclusion of cosmetics and household chemicals from family life. During one of the exacerbations (my daughter was about 9 months old), I had to eat only buckwheat. Later I added color. cabbage and rice in your diet. This helped a little and after 2-3 months the abundance of the rash and its diversity subsided. The child began to breathe better. By that time, I also gained an understanding that ambulance calls and visits to the local doctor lead us purely to the infectious diseases department, but have nothing to do with solving our problem. By May (i.e. the child was one year old), the skin manifestations had almost completely disappeared. During the holidays, my daughter had a high fever and, playing it safe, the doctor called sent us back to the infectious disease ward. Now I know that these were the first days of my second pregnancy. Perhaps breastfeeding somehow passed on my condition to my daughter. However, we ended up in the hospital for the 5th time, having received our dose of interferons, Zyrtec, lactobacilli, enzyme preparations and antibiotics. I immediately began to hide the antiviral and AB in my pocket, only imitating giving the drug to a child. But all the other drugs did their job. By morning the temperature had gone down, so as not to rise again... All that was left was a slight redness in the throat and a continuous rash all over the body. Since the doctors turned a deaf ear to my requests to pay attention to the allergic reaction, a few days later I directly asked what else I could do. They also answered me directly: write a refusal, take the re and go home. It must be said that in each case of hospitalization, we were ALWAYS discharged only at the insistence of the attending physicians, but every time I wrote such a parental refusal - they say that we are familiar with the conditions and consequences of early discharge, I take the consequences upon myself, etc. Without handwriting such a piece of paper, things for discharge and documents WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Well, I wrote the usual piece of paper and went to my clinic. There the child was treated and on the second day the rash disappeared almost completely. ========= Yes, what else can I mention about the period of visiting “free” hospitals. All attempts to break through to specialized specialists failed. One day I was lucky enough to get through to a dermatologist, who prescribed hormonal ointment without comment. Our local police officers did the same thing. One day I managed to get a referral to a regional allergist. But, alas, there were no coupons in the electronic system or in the registry and there still aren’t. Those. We have a referral to this particular hospital, but we cannot get to a specialist. As a result, at 1 year and 8 months, before my second birth, an amazing thought came to mind: again turn to the services of paid clinics (I have been practicing this for more than 15 years, solving issues regarding my health). I studied all the doctors in the region in this profile, dug through all the reviews (including negative ones), found my doctor and the clinic where this doctor sees. The consultation clarified a lot. Now we are doing additional examination to properly confirm the previous diagnoses of doctors from my homeland. So far we have “Unconfirmed blood pressure” and “drug allergy to such and such.” We also look for food allergens and pathogens in the home. Because from my observations, a picture of multiple allergies emerges. I am deeply grateful to our current doctor for his sensitivity, tact in prescribing (I’m very strapped for money right now), and for examining me only on the merits. The list of necessary tests was selected taking into account my capabilities, so that I could spend less money. and restore the picture as complete as possible. I think this is just the beginning of the journey. Since, in addition to the usual types of pathogens, there are also quite exotic ones, for example, on sweat components or Staphylococcus aureus... In general, I have long noticed that interesting rashes appear in the form of fingerprints. This is how they grabbed the daughter’s leg or under the shoulder blades while changing clothes, such traces remain. At first I was guilty of using household chemicals (it was completely removed), then allergic reactions to tar soap were discovered (the child was not washed with it, I just held pieces of soap in my hands several times). Now I don’t know where such finger-shaped rashes remain on the child’s back. the rest of the rashes also have the same appearance. sometimes - thin scars on the cheeks (with barely noticeable redness, or colorless). on the back and less often the chest generally, and also just above the navel locally (an area of 2-4 cm approximately) - a rash in the form of millet or sandpaper, sometimes just peeling. On the buttocks and back of the thighs there is a rash like herpes type 6. Previously - round spots as if from a fungal disease or lichen, more or less colorless or pink, red. The feces on most foods (especially milk and fermented milk, fruit juice and other juices) become terribly smelly. but for weeks and months it seems like nothing. Interestingly. all summer and until October there were no skin manifestations, neither during breastfeeding, nor during mixed feedings, nor while eating any, even “junk” food. communicating with cats, eating poopy sand in the sandbox (three times) did not bring any harm. I became so insolent that I even began to compensate for the child’s calcium deficiency with cottage cheese (20-100 grams per day), occasionally with milk porridge and even calcium gluconate. due to neuropathological problems and behavioral manifestations, she even once gave valerian. Nothing. My husband introduced me to dark chocolate. nothing again. and in October, against the backdrop of rice, buckwheat and wild pear compotes, allergies began to spread again. the type of rashes and their location on the body are strictly the same. The impetus was apparently a 3rd generation preventive allergy syrup (with yellow dye) and a drug prescribed by a neurologist (to relieve possible itching during sleep). Of course, the drugs had to be discontinued without permission. A visit to paid doctors subsequently confirmed my suspicions. What food irritates us now is at a loss. Since in the summer we ate everything, including tangerines and tomatoes. And now it seems like I’m just porridge in the water. Occasionally - dry bread. Well, there is also sugar in dried fruit compotes or weak black tea. Still no cosmetics. The apartment was changed to a more prestigious one, with leather furniture, tiles on the floor and no dust collectors, autonomous heating. I don’t know... I blame the mold... It wasn’t in my own apartment at home, but it accompanies us everywhere on the road: black, pink, gray. Among other studies, we are looking for immunoglobulins for different types of mold. Let's see what I have time to do before giving birth... In general, the baby does not itch and is less capricious. I keep her on a strict regime, many hours of walks, sleep, monastic food, the room temperature is not higher than 18-21 degrees. I try to maintain a quiet regime with my husband. The house is quiet, there are no scandals, a visible atmosphere of peace and well-being. I remembered medical science and pharmacology, physiology and other disciplines from my last two institutes. I read all the honey. literature in a row. I mentally search for solutions. I turn to the Almighty. I teach my daughter the same thing. She is developing well, even better in some ways than her peers (in terms of physical and mental development): she helps me around the house, loves to sculpt and draw, entertains herself with games, is great at tinkering with construction sets, dolls, and various materials, appreciates books, a lot walks, does all sorts of somersaults. I don't know what will happen next. Among the problems - we stopped using the potty, we despise cups, we fell in love with bottles with pacifiers: from birth the baby was on the chest and spitting from the pacifiers, the mixture was always given from an ordinary spoon, a soft Medela spoon, a cup or sippy cups like Haberman, but now my daughter felt the urge to make up for lost time . I still don’t know how to teach me to drink only clean water. To give him something to drink, you have to give compote without sugar (or with, but barely sweet) and highly diluted juices without sugar (about 5% concentration). He drinks a lot. Before going to bed, drinks 3 bottles of 120-150 ml. We can't get vaccinated. Now they don’t take me to a regular kindergarten. Medicines are also not allowed yet. Well, so be it... The second pregnancy was subjectively more difficult. Because of my daughter's nervousness. Due to the unsettled life. Because of who knows where, I developed acute gastritis and pancreatitis. But, surprisingly, the boy is developing better than children, as all studies so far show. He somehow sits calmer in his stomach. And, importantly, he has already reached his height, weight and number of weeks longer than his sister. I'm waiting for it for Christmas, for my name day, or for my dad's birthday. Let's see what happens to my son's health...

Humana Expert 1 Infant Formula: Review

Components - 3.9

On the packaging of Humana Expert 1 milk formula you can see a very diverse composition - vitamins, micro- and macroelements, fatty acids and prebiotics are indicated. We checked the composition in the laboratory and found that the calcium and iron content differed only slightly from the declared content. The vitamin C content according to the analysis results is 65 mg/100 g, this figure is even slightly higher than the 53 mg indicated on the package. A 6-month-old baby needs to consume 35 mg of vitamin C per day, and Humana Expert 1 formula meets this requirement. Let us remind you that vitamin C is very important for the proper functioning of the immune system and the absorption of iron.

Formula milk can also fully cover a child’s calcium and iron needs. These macroelements are involved in the biochemical processes of the body. In addition, calcium is an important component of the mineral matrix. In order for calcium to be properly absorbed, phosphorus and vitamin D3 are necessary. According to experts, the correct ratio of calcium to phosphorus should be 2 to 1; in Humana Expert 1 this value is 1.8:1, which means calcium should be well absorbed.

In order to find out the total mineral content of the mixture, we determined the ash content. The more ash, the higher the mineral content. Humana Expert 1 contained 2.8% ash - this is one of the highest contents in our rating.

In order to make Humana Expert 1 formula close to the composition of breast milk, manufacturers added omega fatty acids (AHA, DHA), prebiotics, nucleotides and palm oil. The last component is very controversial because it can reduce the absorption of calcium, but the harm of palm oil has not been clearly proven, so we did not reduce the Humana Expert 1 rating.

Omega fatty acids are important for brain, vision and nervous system development. These acids are not synthesized in the body, so the baby must get them from food.

Prebiotics are components found in breast milk that stimulate the growth of bifidobacteria in the intestines. Healthy intestinal microflora, according to experts, performs a protective function and promotes the development of immunity. It is worth noting that their content in the mixture is low; in our tests there were compositions in which there were 2 times more probiotics (for example, Nutricia Malyutka 1).

You will not find probiotics in the composition - beneficial living microorganisms that should help normalize the baby’s digestion. We did not significantly reduce the overall score for the absence of this component, because experts cannot agree on their need for baby food. So, we recently published news about a study that shows that probiotics do not relieve infant colic.

Manufacturers indicate a long list of nucleotides on the packaging. These components are very important for a growing organism, in particular for the development of immunity. They promote the rapid development of nervous tissue and brain functions.

Security - 5.0

Our laboratory tests did not find any toxins or dangerous microorganisms in the composition. Sucrose was also not found. All the sweetness of the mixture is provided only by natural carbohydrates: glucose, lactose and maltodextrin. The last component is considered unfavorable for baby food, but it is contained in very small quantities and therefore does not cause concern.

Taste and ease of breeding - 4.0

Our tasting group loved the taste of the formula. In their reviews of Humana Expert 1 infant formula, they noted that it is neutral and moderately sweet. However, in our tests there were mixtures with a more pleasant taste. Among them is Friso Frisolac Gold 1. We did not include these points in the final rating because it is often impossible to predict the preferences of babies.

During the tests, we prepared the Humana Expert 1 mixture according to the manufacturer's instructions. The recommendations on the packaging indicate that the powder should be mixed with water cooled to 50 C. The mixture dissolved very quickly, you didn’t even need to shake the bottle vigorously - it’s very convenient, mom can prepare the mixture in a matter of minutes.
