The off-season is the peak period for diseases caused by viruses. And who suffers the most? These are our children, because they have not yet fully formed immunity and cannot resist viruses and infections so well. The main way viruses spread is through airborne droplets, and children have very close contact with each other, especially when it comes to kindergarten or school. And infants are not protected from them, because the infection gets home through infected parents or older brothers and sisters.

What does a young mother need to know? This is how to deal with the virus quickly and without consequences. What drugs can be given to babies, do they help, etc. On the first day of infection, so-called antiviral drugs are more effective. Today we will analyze one drug from this category - Anaferon drops for children. The drug has a lot of positive reviews and has gained popularity among young parents. We will tell you not only about treatment, but also about prevention. Happy reading!

pharmachologic effect

Pharmacological action - immunomodulatory,

Preclinical and clinical studies have proven the effectiveness of the drug against influenza viruses, parainfluenza, herpes simplex viruses types 1 and 2 (labial herpes, genital herpes), other herpes viruses (varicella, infectious mononucleosis), enteroviruses, tick-borne encephalitis virus, rotavirus , coronavirus, calicivirus, adenovirus, respiratory syncytial virus (RS virus).

The drug reduces the concentration of the virus in the affected tissues, affects the system of endogenous interferons and associated cytokines, induces the formation of endogenous “early” interferons (IFN a/b) and interferon gamma (IFN γ). Stimulates the humoral and cellular immune response. Increases the production of antibodies (including secretory LgA), activates the functions of T-effectors, T-helpers (Tx), normalizes their ratio. Increases the functional reserve of Tx and other cells involved in the immune response. It is an inducer of a mixed Th1 and Th2 immune response: it increases the production of Th1 (IFN γ, IL-2) and Th2 (IL-4, 10) cytokines, restores (modulates) the Th1/Th2 balance. Increases the functional activity of phagocytes and natural killer cells (NK cells). Has antimutagenic properties.
